Taking inspiration from early 20th century American salons to present day performance, Mathieu Gaulin and Jacynthe Riverin – infusing their presentation with their unmistakable brand of enthusiasm and energy – bring us an eclectic programme that introduces us to ALL facets of the saxophone. Going through various eras, you will hear the ragtime music and cake-walks that have served Adolphe Sax’s. From a simple popular instrument, it became a symbol of nobility, strength and freedom. From the ragtime era to the present day, and onward to the future.
