Canadian soprano Suzanne Rigden is a graduate of the Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal, where she was a member from 2009 to 2011. During the Opéra de Montréal’s 2009-2010 season, she portrayed the First Spirit and covered the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, and appeared as the Shepherd Boy in Tosca; with the Atelier lyrique, she was Gertrude in Nelligan. While in her last season with the Atelier lyrique, she was given the opportunity to sing the Page in Rigoletto and Sophie in Werther at the OdM. Another highlight of the season was a two-month Québec tour of Aléacanto.
In March of 2011, Suzanne Rigden made her American opera debut in the role of Morgana in Alcina with the Pocket Opera of New York. In the summer of 2011, she travels to San Francisco to sing Rosina in The Barber of Seville with the Merola Opera Centre. She has been hailed for her charm and powerful coloratura.
