Instrument: soprano colorature
Canadian soprano Eve-Lyn de la Haye began her 08/09 season in England at the Aldeburgh Festival singing Lucia in Britten’s opera The Rape of Lucretia. For Calgary Opera she has sung Aurore in Massenet’s Le Portrait de Manon, Sarah in The Ballad of Baby Doe (Moore) and most recently Echo in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss). Other recent perfor mances include Adele in Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss son), Julie Jordan in Carousel with the Boston Pops Orchestra, and Tytania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with the International Vocal Arts Institute in Tel Aviv, Israel. Eve-Lyn is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Opera Division where she studied with Mary Morrison.
